Matte texture and very tightly wound, I really like the resulting fabric with a casual look. Can be splitty, best avoid pointy needles to work. I am a cotton-lover, the soft string feeling is pleasant to me, this yarn has smooth surface, but I understand a wool knitter will find the non-stretchy texture of this annoying.

I bought this yarn to make a summer sleeveless sweater. I ordered deep lavender and the color is blue. It's a pretty blue and I'm keeping it, but it's definitely not lavender. I'm just on the first side and so far it seems to be coming out quite nice. My only complaint is that although it's cotton, the feel is kind of stiff, and it isn't soft. It may not feel that good next to the skin. It does show off the detail of stitches nicely though.

Beautiful colors

Pros

  • Dyed Evenly
  • Nice Texture
  • Soft

Cons

  • Very thin

Best Uses

  • Scarves
  • Shawls Wraps

Comments about Tahki Yarns Cotton Classic Lite:

Much thinner than Cotton Classics -- description suggest size 5 needle, but it really knits up with a 3. Colors are gorgeous and clear, very saturated. The lilac color is actually a royal blue. It is still a pretty color, but definitely not any sort of lilac.
Still, a nice yarn, just be aware of how thin it is, and don't plan to pair it with another DK weight.

Comments about Tahki Yarns Cotton Classic Lite:

I use this yarn (double strand) for couch throws - the cotton is soft, washable, and durable. I tried the Lite yarn this time as an experiment, and like it very much, too. I have made baby afghans, couch throws, larger blankets - and love the Tahki yarn. I only use cotton now, due to so many allergies......

I used this yarn to crochet a pot holder as a Christmas gift for a friend. Very easy to work with - I am a knitter, so not that much experience with crochet. I am considering it for a lightweight sweater. Very nice product.

My first cotton knit sweater. I knit a gansey pattern which turned out well but I learned cotton is heavier then wool and drapes different. WEBS was wonderful for sending me the exact dye lot to match when I needed to acquire one more skein.

The color selection is fantastic!!!! I made the Thaki "Spring Break Trapeze Tank." I have four different colors of this yarn. I just love it. I can find no problems with this yarn. I would have a lot of every color I could.
