Named after a valley in the Himalayas, the Juniper Moon Nubra cowl and fingerless mitts feature a simple colorwork section amid a stockinette field. This would be a great introduction to colorwork, as the colorwork section is only a small portion of the finished pattern.
Finished Measurements: Cowl: circumference - 20.25", length - 10.75"; Mitts: circumference - 7.75"
Yarn: MC: 2 balls Juniper Moon Farm Tenzing in color # 03; CC: 1 ball Juniper Moon Farm Tenzing in color #09
Needles: Cowl - US 4, 5, and 6 16" circular needles, or size used to obtain gauge; Mitts - US 4, 5, and 6 DPNs, or size used to obtain gauge
Gauge: 22 sts and 32 rows = 4" in St st in the round using US 5 needles
(Note: most knitters will need to change to larger needles to maintain stitch gauge for stranded colorwork sections.)
