Meet Melissa Wehrle and buy your own signed copy of her new book, Metropolitan Knits. In addition to the book signing, there will be a trunk show of garments from the book, and a chance to ask Melissa questions. Light refreshments will be served!
About the book:
Shot entirely on location in Manhattan, Metropolitan Knits fully utilizes the urban city theme by zeroing in on projects that perfectly reflect the flavor and drama of city life. In particular, Melissa uses a variety of construction and finishing techniques to give her designs a high level of polish and sophistication. Her regular use of such techniques as tubular cast-ons and bind-offs, knit-in pockets, tabs, one row buttonholes and button details, slip-stitch edgings, small slits, and pleats all help transform a finished garment, giving even basic projects a refined simplicity and elegance. The patterns in Metropolitan Knits bring this clean, modern style to readers in a collection of garments and accessories.
