Making the Shakerag skirt and really enjoying the project
I am knitting the Shakerag skirt with Creative Linen and think it will be a a good weight to make a fabulous skirt. The yarn is easy to work with, not as splitty as I expected, and has good stitch definition. It is slightly still to handle, but it's linen, so of course. I know it will soften with washing, more and more. I am very slightly disappointed the green color is more sage-y than apple green, but it will be a nice addition to my wardrobe and change from wearing blue jeans so much.
I was contacted immediately as the dye lots for the number of skeins I ordered did not match. I chose to wait for a new shipment which arrived very quickly. The color and yarn is perfect for the project I intend to make.
This yarn runs THIN so if that's okay with you, it's great. Beautiful drape - not floppy. The Raspberry color is more like a (very) dusty rose. The gauge is too fine for my project but it is a very classy yarn.
Knitting items from MDK Field Guide featuring Olga Buraya Kefelian. Also this is nice for summer wear. Linen is a bit rough to knit with but washes and dries beautifully as it morphs into a fabric with nice drape.
I have two sweaters knitted with this yarn, and I love them!
Wonderful, high quality product.
