I'm mostly a knitter and use crochet for trim, and a crochet hook to fix mistakes and problems with my knitting, so I don't usually use a crochet hook for hours at a time, like I do knitting needles.

If you like the flat handles on the Clover soft touch hooks, these are the same, but they're made of a resilient rubber-like plastic that is just grabby enough to make sure it doesn't slip out of your hands, while feeling hard, but having just enough give to be really kind to your hands. They're a lot like the plastic in the "sweet spot" on the soft touch hooks, but all over.

The hook itself is a "Boye" type hook rather than a "Susan Bates" type. There are two different camps among crocheters, so this may be either a pro or a con for you.

Overall, the hook feels solid and well made, but the price makes it a steal. I already had some that cost almost twice as much and weren't any better than these.

    I love mine!

I couldn't find a 3mm in the brand I normally use, so I thought I would give the KP hooks a try. I didn't like them at all and ended up having a 3mm hook shipped to me from Japan. The hook felt cheap and hollow. The tip split my yarn on almost every single stitch (no kidding!) and the yarn didn't slide well.

One pro is that the handle was really comfortable, especially when I switched from knife hold to pencil hold. Another pro is the price (although I hesitate to call it a pro -- buying a product you end up disliking, even if it is inexpensive, is still just a waste of money).

Comments about Knitter's Pride Waves Aluminum Crochet Hooks:

I don't crochet much lately, but I do make mistakes in my knitting. Having different sizes of hooks to fix them is helpful. The handle prevents my hand from cramping, too, which is also helpful.

Prompt response and delivery of two separate orders.
            Reasonable prices.

Make many assorted items from tiny animals, flowers, trims,& hats to larger items as shawls and afghans to give as gifts and donations to chemo units and shelters.

Can crochet for prolonged periods due to the comfortable grip handles and smoother contact with all types of yarn and threads. Little or no drag and smooth tips greatly reduce splitting of yarn.
Have purchased all from 2mm to 12mm.
Did not find the "K" (6.5mm") offered or did I overlook it?

Comments about Knitter's Pride Waves Aluminum Crochet Hooks:

I prefer a longer total length. The larger gauges are certainly long enough for my personal needs. I had hoped that all sizes were equally long. I purchased the 10 and 12 mm sizes. They are sleek, nice non-inline head and the handle is a good proportion for temporary, comfortable holding.
The 2.5 and 3 mm sizes have an equally well-shaped head but the overall length doesn't suit my hand size and personal preference.

These are great for those of us who have trouble with aluminum or wooden hooks. The handle is soft and not too hard for arthritic hands. Would recommend to anyone wanting a softer handle to work with or the novice just starting out. Good product.
