Product Details

Malabrigo Rios takes the incredible softness of Malabrigo's yarns and makes it machine-washable! This plied superwash Merino yarn comes in rich, beautiful colors, and you won't have to worry about felting. A great choice for everything from hats to sweaters and blankets, it's easy to see why Rios has captured the love of knitters and crocheters!

Malabrigo Rios is produced in dye lots of 10. Any order for more than 10 skeins will be of mixed dye lots. Some colors do not have any dye lots.

Hand-dyed yarns have subtle variations in colors that are natural and may vary from skein to skein.  There may be differences between pictures shown and the yarn you receive. To ensure the best results for your project:
  • Buy enough yarn for your entire project at one time.
  • When using hand-dyed yarn in your project work two rows from one skein and two rows from another skein to give an overall blended effect.
If you have any questions or concerns about hand-dyed yarn, please contact Customer Service.

I love the yarn. Webs was difficult to work with. Stuff took 6 weeks to arrive, and they were unresponsive.

Rios is my go-to shawl, hat and scarf yarn - gorgeous colors, hand dyed for depth of color, and a huge palette from which to choose. Love the hand! Drapes beautifully when knit on size 7-8 needles.

I’m new to working with wool yarns and in my limited experience, this is the softest one ive encountered! And i dont think it could get softer than this, especially after being blocked. Created a nice drape, preserved color and shape, was a delight to work with, and was nice to wear!

Wonderful rich colors and texture. Makes a beautiful plush baby blanket.

Love it as usual

My favorite yarn to work with. The hand-dyed yarns are beautiful. And stitch definition makes every project I do look great and I am not the greatest knitter. I love using Malabrigo Rios yarn for baby blankets, fingerless gloves and mittens and hats.

The best yarn in all ways

Wonderful yarn that is knitting up beautifully! A WIP for my granddaughter is what I’m using this yarn to knit. The color, Denim, is a perfect color description. Just enough color shading to make it interesting without imitating a pattern. I’ve worked both in 2x2 rib and seed stitch for this project and it’s working in a perfect match to the gauge swatch.
