I made a 5k5p rib cowl with this yarn. Knits very smoothly, and the chainette holds together really well. It's a solid bulky yarn without being scratchy, so it's good for cozy accessories.

I am knitting lap blankets and have always had good results with orders made online from Webs. This yarn was not as described. Much thinner and not 2.5 stitches per inch. I use Super Bulky yarn for my projects. I wound up ordering much more of this yarn, and started knitting it up. Gave up and unravelled it. Started on a much prettier yarn from Webs called Poeme. Wouldn't have spent the money if I had had better info about the Melody yarn.

I was looking for a replacement sock yarn , since the yarn I have been knitting socks out of for the last 4 years is now OS (Artful yarns Reality). Although the overall look and yardage is very similar the Meloday knits up bulkier and doesn't have as much stretch. It also took most of a third ball to make a pair of socks, where I could do a pair with 2 balls of Reality. I fouund that this yarn unraveled at the cut ends much more than the Reality did too. So no it will not be my replacement sock yarn! Since I only bought 2 balls of some of the colours I alterntated yarns in the toes and the cuffs on the yellow pair... Not great but better than having two balls left over!
