I’ve used Tahki Donegal yarns to make several afghans and have been very happy with the finished projects. The yarn is easy to work with and washed well by hand when my work was finished. I just ordered yarn to make my third afghan in light teal - the color is luxurious and happens to match well an Asian rug in my family room!
I'm using it for a cable knit sweater for my son. It's beautiful, soft, and has character.
I love Webs Yarn, especially Donegal Tweed. Incredible beautiful and rich colours with subtle undertones and a soft feel. It knits easily even if it has a few bits of dried plant materials in it. I stocked up a lot, could not resist the great deal. One can never have enough colour options for future projects. I am already knitting my third pullover using needle size US 2 for a crisper look of the pattern.
I bought the burnt orange yarn. I think it was just labeled orange, but had a brown undertone. I paired it with a thin thread of sparkly yarn because the person I was making it for wanted sparkly burnt orange. It was smooth to work with and worked up into a beautiful scarf.
I purchased this yarn on sale. A great value yarn. I love the rich, deep red and lovely flecks of tweed. I really don’t feel the mohair in this but that’s ok. The yarn is definitely a light fingering. There is a twist to the first skein that I have wound which I’m hoping will work its way out. So far I would buy again and as always the service and shipping from WEBS was flawless.

This yarn is not anything like Merino or one of its derivative breeds. It was not made from fleece of Spain, but of the ancient northern breeds. It will feel rough against your fingers and you may think 'I would never want this against my skin!' Well, know that this yarn is not made to sit against your skin, but as a cardigan of shawl it will survive beautifully years after Merino has been destroyed by winter. It also looks. neat, to my mind.
The colors of the yarns were beautiful and I loved the little flecks of color. However, the yarn was thinner than I expected and I had to double the strands to get the stitch gauge I needed. Also, it is not very soft, but the stitch definition is great.
I’m happy with this yarn for the most part. It’s not consistent in the size, which I typically don’t mind. Using it to crochet a piece of clothing. Some parts are incredibly thin though so I’m breaking and reattaching to avoid potential issues once the garment is complete. It felts back together well enough so I don’t have joins showing or to weave in.
