Product Description

Cascade Yarns 220 is a 100% Peruvian Highland wool worsted, and one of the most-used yarns we sell. One 100 g skein holds 220 yds (200 m) and knits to 18 stitches over 4" on US 7 (4.5 mm) needles — recommended crochet hook G (4.5 mm). It comes in one of the largest color ranges in the store, in clear solids and in the heathers the line is known for, where several shades are blended into the strand.

Not superwash: Cascade 220 is untreated wool, so hand wash and dry flat — and so it felts. It is the yarn our customers reach for specifically to felt: hats, hot water bottle covers, hot pads and bags all felt down densely and evenly. If you want the same look in something you can put in the machine, Cascade 220 Superwash is the washable DK-weight version, and there are more weights and finishes in the Cascade 220 Line.
