I've make more slouch hats out of this than I can count. Great stitch definition, great drape, & extremely soft. Plus so many beautiful colors to choose from! The only reason I give it 4 stars out of 5 is that it is incorrectly labeled a 'worsted' weight. It is not even a 'light worsted', it is a full on DK weight so buy accordingly.

This was a horribly disappointing yarn. I used two colors of it to knit a very special project that I wanted to be durable and last for years, only to have the yarn start to disintegrate, pill, shrink and shred when the completed project was washed on gentle/warm with a little Woolite and dried on low heat. It was turned into a partially felted, fuzzy, lumpy mess that was beyond salvaging. I will never use this yarn, or anything else from Cascade, again.

    Comments about   220 Superwash:

No matter the project I always reach for my 22 Superwash first in hopes I can use it. The colors are numerous and a visual delight. The yarn itself is soft and durable. Each 220 ball seems to go on and on. It is the first yarn I look at when in a yarn store and I always have some in my stash.

        Comments about   220 Superwash:

I used this yarn to make a very intricate cable sweater for my man. I used the correct size needle, etc. It washes well, but after a few months of almost constant wear, the elbows totally wore out. I mended them and they wore out again. I mended them yet again and finally put suede elbow patches on. Took away from the look of the garment, but still gets the general look. Would I use again? Probably yes but use something more durable mixed with it for the elbow area.

          Comments about   220 Superwash:

I love 220 superwash. It's a pleasure to knit, easy on the hands, bouncy, and springy while knitting. It washes beautifully. You should probably swatch though because it definitely grows in the bath. Pretty significantly, in my experience. I will buy this yarn over and over again. It's perfect for baby gifts because it's machine washable. And, for that matter, perfect for gifts for my teenagers too. They are great about doing their own laundry, but everything goes in the washer! I also love all the colors. Am making my son a cabled sweater with the Christmas red right now and it's absolutely gorgeous.

I bought this yarn to make an afghan, because of the size and the fact that the afghan will be a gift, I needed something that is easy to care for. This yarn works up very nicely. I haven't finished the project, but I know that it will be exactly what I was looking for.
