Did not give it 5 stars as I haven't seen it washed and dried.

I liked this yarn, but I didn't love it. I used it to make my husband a scarf and hat, and it grew a bit more than I anticipated (even after washing the gauge swatch). It does, for the most part, shrink back up in the dryer but it also looks used--too much halo--and tired after soaking, drying and blocking. I'm disappointed and unlikely to use it again.

Comments about CASCADE YARNS 220 Superwash Aran:

I am using this yarn to make Wallaby hoodies for two preschoolers, brother and sister, who love to play outdoors.
The yarn has great body, lots of spring and give and should work great for this project. The color selection is wide, and should appeal to kids and moms alike. This yarn is easy and enjoyable for the knitter, too.

This yarn is perfect for cozy afghans. I'll soon start my 3rd afghan using this yarn with a 4th under consideration. Great color selection.

Comments about CASCADE YARNS 220 Superwash Aran:

Had been looking for a perfect yarn for a vintage pattern (yarn no longer existed). Knew other knitters who tried various substitutions, with very poor results. Finally saw aran yarn as a substitute. WEBS 220 super wash aran is not only a yarn I trust, but actually carried in the original color used for the vintage pattern.

Comments about CASCADE YARNS 220 Superwash Aran:

I purchased this yarn for a (75 x 60) crocheted afghan. The heavy weight of Aran yarn is fantastic for my project and this yarn is extremely soft and is easy to crochet. I ordered 19 hanks and needed to order more to complete this project and since I chose the white colorway I was very happy that both shipments matched perfectly even though the two shipments were different dye lots and I was not guaranteed that the different colors would match. The only drawback that I have experienced with this yarn is the amount of yardage per hank. Each hank is approximately 150 yards and is a bit of a pain to join a new ball every 3 inches, however, I am very pleased with the yarn overall.

I have made five hats so far using three colours of this yarn. I'm using a chart that has up to 7-stich-long floats, and I am getting beautiful results.

Comments about CASCADE YARNS 220 Superwash Aran:

I made a knitted throw with this yarn as a gift. I washed it per instructions after I finished the project and It shed and pilled so badly it took forever to remove/clean up so my gift would look presentable. I am really disappointed with this yarn. I've made similar throws out of other merino yarn brands that washed up beautifully. While it is very soft and beautiful to work with I (except for problems with splitting on increases and decreases) I would recommend washing your stitch gauge before starting a project with this yarn.
