Product Description
York Minster by Baa Ram Ewe is a blanket that's inspired by the stained glass windows of York Minster, with three size options. Featuring four jewel-colored shades of Dovestone DK contrasted with dark grey borders. Constructed from garter stitch squares that are easy to make, requiring only knit stitches and simple increases and decreases: this a perfect project for beginners.
Sizes: Small (medium, large); 27 x 31 (35.5 x 44, 44 x 53)" (Note: If you want to make the small size, be extra sure that your gauge is correct. Sample blanket had very little yarn left over)
Yarn: 1 (2, 3) skeins each of 5 colours: Coal, Rhubarb, Chevin, Lotherton and Parkin.
Needles: US 8 circular needle, minimum 32" length (you can knit the squares on straight needles if you prefer, but a circular needle is required for the border).
Gauge: 22 stitches and 42 rows = 4" over garter stitch after blocking
