Knitting Techniques Used

All garments in this collection employ seamless top-down construction, a technique that begins at the collar and works downward in the round. This method eliminates the need for seaming, resulting in garments with minimal finishing work. The patterns utilize circular needles for working in the round, with construction beginning from a cast-on collar.

The designs incorporate raglan shaping and other fitted construction methods to achieve tailored silhouettes without traditional seams. Garments are worked continuously in rounds from the neckline, with increases strategically placed to create proper fit through the shoulders, chest, and body.

Stitches and Stitch Patterns

The collection features k2/p2 ribbing worked in the round, which creates an elastic, finished appearance at the collar and other ribbed sections. The ribbing pattern uses a multiple of 4 stitches, with all rounds worked as *k2, p2; repeat from * around.

Additional stitch techniques include yarn overs (yo), knit two together (k2tog), and slip, slip, knit (ssk) decreases, which are used for both shaping and creating decorative elements such as buttonholes. The patterns also incorporate slip stitches worked purlwise with yarn in back, which create selvage edges and decorative details throughout the garments.

Construction requires circular needles in 16-inch length for working the collar and initial rounds. The patterns include multiple size options with corresponding stitch counts and measurements, allowing customization for different garment dimensions. Stitch markers and safety pins are used throughout construction to track pattern repeats and important placement points.
