Crochet Confidence - V- Spring/Summer 2026

*This class fulfills the Non-Knitting Elective Requirement for WEKP.

You enjoy crochet and have made several projects—but do stitch counts, gauge, and pattern instructions still feel confusing? If your stitches seem to multiply or disappear, your row counts feel uncertain, or reading patterns makes your brain shut off, you’re not alone. While much of crochet is intuitive, refining key skills can greatly boost your confidence and enjoyment.

In this class, we’ll review yarn and hook handling, including common pitfalls. We’ll explore stitch anatomy to better understand and control gauge, practice reading your own work for accurate counting, and learn how to critically read and interpret crochet patterns with confidence.

You will receive the Zoom link 1-2 business days before the virtual class.

Format: Virtual

Prerequisite: Crochet II or equivalent: must be able to chain, single crochet, slip stitch and double crochet with confidence and have completed some crochet projects independently.
Materials Required:

Worsted weight yarn, smooth, medium colors (no very dark or very light colors)

Hooks Sizes 4 and 5 mm minimum, but bring all you have.

Scissors or yarn snips

Locking stitch markers, preferably more than one color
HOMEWORK:

If you have not crocheted regularly in the last 3 months, please practice chains, slip stitch, single, half double,

double, and treble crochet stitches.

Cancellation Policy: For all classes, payment of full tuition is due at time of registration. Tuition will be refunded only if the class is cancelled by WEBS, or if there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled.
