Construction Method: The throw is worked flat using a circular needle, with rows knitted back and forth rather than in the round. The circular needle is used specifically to accommodate the required number of stitches across the width, not to work circularly. After the main knitting is complete, fringe is attached to the cast-on and cast-off edges using a crochet hook, adding texture and visual interest to the finished piece.

Stitches & Techniques: The entire throw is created using stocking stitch, the fundamental knit fabric formed by alternating knit and purl rows. Yarn Colour Options: Three versions are provided. Version 1 uses shade 609 Tranquil (no longer available; substitute 643 Seasalt suggested). Version 2 features 602 Romany. Version 3 also uses 602 Romany. Crafters may select alternative shades from the Jo Sharp decorator colour range to suit their interior decor.

The cushion is a square homeware accent measuring 40cm in width and length, designed to coordinate with the throw or function as a standalone decorative piece. Like the throw, it showcases the softness and drape of mohair yarn in a simple, achievable project.

Construction Method: The cushion is worked flat using straight needles in stocking stitch throughout. After knitting is complete, the piece is seamed and finished with a 40cm pillow insert inserted into the cover.

Stitches & Techniques: Stocking stitch forms the entire fabric. The cushion employs a seamed construction method, with edges joined to create the pillow cover structure that accommodates the standard pillow insert.

Yarn & Needles: The cushion requires 3 balls of Jo Sharp Rare Comfort Kid Mohair Hand Knitting Yarn (25g per ball). It is worked on a pair of 5.00mm needles (USA size 8, UK size 6). A crochet hook is also required. The same tension applies: 17 stitches and 25 rows over 10cm in stocking stitch.
