Product Description
This easy and visually striking blanket is knitted in one piece. The vertical stripes are added after the main body of the afghan is knitted. A border of bobbles (pictured) or plain garter st is added to give it a finished look. The pattern includes both written instructions and illustrations. Skills needed are the following: knit stitch, purl stitch, single-crochet stitch, crochet slip-stitch. The sample in the photo was is made in 4 bold colors, main colors red and blue, and contrast stripes of orange and green, but heathered yarns or less contrasting colors would produce a more subtle look. The sample is in Knit Picks Brava Worsted for wash-ability, but this pattern is suitable for any worsted weight yarn. Several suitable alternate yarns are suggested.
