    I have used the black 100% alpaca to make a pair of gloves. It feels very comfortable on skin and lays well when crocheted. It only falls short of a 5 for me, because I am not used to lace weight and had a bit of trouble.

    Exquisitely soft and delicate. It’s so fine that it is perfect for those lace patterns that were created to “draw up through a wedding ring”.

    The alpaca is very soft. I washed the skein before knitting to see what would happen. It developed a little halo.

    It's quite thin and I swatched a few lace stitches and ended up liking it best on size #000. When I knit lace, I like the stockinette areas to look normal, not loose, and the holes to be distinct but not sloppy. This would make a lovely lace fabric.

    Beauti lace yarn, not easy to wind however. It was very tangled and difficult to get on the swift. Once it was finally wound, it was a wonder to work with! Very silky and smooth and makes a lovely lace!
