Product Details
Like chocolate-y goodness, is there really such a thing as too many cables?! This wonderfully unique poncho top features lots of intertwining cables on the front and back - making it a project that will surely not bore you!
A wide center panel of curvy interlocking cables is flanked by two smaller basic cables. Then on either side of this center panel, there are smaller meandering cables that echo the movement of the center panel and mirror each other. Not to worry! It's all charted out and written out for you to follow with precision.
Shoulders and neckline are shaped to flatter, and the shoulder seams are sewn (helps add stability to the top). Then, the simple rounded neckline is picked up and ribbed and the bottom shaped border is picked up and created with the use of short rows. The slight ruffling of the bottom border adds a nice feminine feel to the piece.
The sample was knit in Elann Peruvian Highland Chunky (now discontinued). A substitute yarn is shown below.
