Oversized, plush and cosy, this cowl works as a standard cowl tucked in around your coat or - due to its size - you can also pull it right up as a perfect hood for extra warmth.

• Stolen Stitches ‘Nua’ (60% Merino, 20% Yak, 20% Linen; 153 yds / 140 m per 1.76 oz / 50 g); colour: Rolling Bales (9808) 6 skeins 

Note: Cowl used exactly 5 skeins but to allow for different gauges & swatching it is advisable to get a sixth skein.

NEEDLES & NOTIONS 

• US size 4 / 3.5 mm circular needles, 24” / 60 cm long 

Always use a needle size that gives you the gauge listed, as every knitter’s gauge is unique. 

• Tapestry needle, cable needle (cn), stitch marker.

GAUGE 

• 22 sts and 40 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Garter Stitch 
• 54 sts and 37 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Cable 1 

Note: The Large Cable causes the fabric to fold creating a tighter gauge.
