Product Description
During an annular eclipse a few summers ago, my son happened to stand in front of the window in such a way that the pattern of little eclipses created by the window blinds fell right on the middle of his shirt. I thought this sort of pattern would make a lovely embellishment for a knitted top, and, after playing around with some yarn, was able to achieve the effect using a very simple lace pattern based on Feather and Fan. The rest of the top is quite flattering, with a soft v-neck, empire waist, and subtle pleat. The use of fingering weight yarn makes for a light and airy piece. Originally published as the Eclipse Top in Knitscene, Annulaire now includes a wider range of sizes as well as streamlined pattern instructions.
