Product Description
A tidy picot hem meets smooshy lace in this cozy cowl.
Artichoke Hearts cowl is worked in the round from hem to top, beginning with a provisional cast on for the hemline. Hem is joined with a 3-needle row of knitting. The lace pattern (simple enough for a beginning lace knitter) contains decreases made by working 3 stitches together, which are most comfortably worked using a pointy needle. A sewn bind off is used for an elastic finish.
Skills used: Provisional cast on, lace knitting, 3-needle hem, sewn bind-off. All techniques are explained.
Needles: Circular or double-pointed US size 6 (4.0 mm), second set in size 6 / 4.0 mm or smaller, size 8 /5.0 mm with pointy tips recommended.
