        Comments about ASHFORD Hand Carders:

So far I have carded alpaca and a lincoln/rambouillet mix. The carders withstand use, but a few tines have bent already. Other carders I have used seemed to have stronger tines. I like that the cards are lightweight, so my hands don't get tired of using them quickly. A point that might bother some folks is that the handles are assembled by you, you screw them onto the card. The wood could use a bit of sanding, and the single attachment point means the handle wiggles a bit. Some super glue would fix this if it was a big problem. I bought these because they were on sale, and I'm satisfied with the product so far.

          Comments about ASHFORD Hand Carders:

Carders are matched to the fleece being carded, so if you're in love with a billowy Merino, Cormo or other fine fleece, use a carder that enhances those qualities. The difference is amazing.
