Beach Hut

This nautical Beach Hut would make a fun decoration, or convert into a doorstop or bookend by adding a weight inside. All pieces are worked flat (back and forth) on a pair of straight single pointed knitting needles, not in the round. The window panes are crochet chains which are sewn onto the hut, or you could embroider these in chain stitch if you don’t crochet. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the hut us knitted in acrylic DK yarns. For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, knitting stripes, and seaming to finish. The hut is 18cm tall x 14cm wide x 14cm deep.
