Yarn Specifications

All patterns in this collection are worked using Berroco Indigo™ yarn, a premium blend composed of 95% Cotton and 5% Other Fibers. Each skein provides 219 yards of yardage with a weight of 3.5 ounces (100 grams). The yarn is designed for easy care, with machine wash instructions and a lay-flat drying method recommended to maintain garment shape and integrity.

Gauge and Needle Requirements

Knitting Techniques and Construction

The patterns in this collection employ several fundamental knitting construction methods. The garments feature armhole shaping, achieved through strategic bind-offs at the beginning of rows to create angled decreases that form proper sleeve cap depth. Neck shaping is accomplished using both bind-off methods and decreases worked at the neck edge on alternating rows, creating smooth, fitted necklines.

Shoulder shaping is constructed using graduated bind-offs, where stitches are bound off in progressively smaller quantities over multiple rows to create sloped shoulders that sit naturally on the body. The patterns include chart-based stitch patterns, indicated by references to Chart 3, allowing knitters to follow visual stitch diagrams alongside written instructions.

The construction method involves working pieces even (without increases or decreases) over specific measurements, then introducing shaping at designated points. Stitch holders are used to temporarily hold stitches for later use, such as when working neck stitches separately for each side of the garment.
