Yarn shown in pattern was cotton, held double. Very pretty, but I had bulky wool for substitution. No changes in pattern, gauge fine. A nice big shawl for my daughter in wintery Spokane, Washington, where she walks Leo, her Golden Retriever, five to ten miles a day in wind, rain, snow, sunshine.
