What is Being Made

Construction Techniques

The Woodbine employs a seamless, worked-in-the-round construction method, which eliminates the need for seaming and creates a smooth, professional finish. The garment is constructed bottom-up, meaning knitting begins at the lower edge of the body and progresses upward. The body and sleeves are each worked in the round individually before being joined together at the yoke, which is also worked in the round. This approach provides excellent fit control and allows for easy adjustments during the knitting process.

Stitches and Stitch Techniques

The pattern incorporates cable stitches as a primary design element, with a charted cable repeat that measures 4½" after blocking. The foundation of the sweater uses stockinette stitch (St st), which creates a smooth, classic fabric ideal for showcasing cable work.
