Techniques Used

This cardigan is constructed using bottom-up seamed construction, meaning the pieces are knitted individually from the bottom edge upward and then sewn together. The garment is worked flat on straight needles rather than in the round, allowing knitters to work back and forth in rows. This traditional method provides excellent control over shaping and pattern placement, making it ideal for incorporating the multiple stitch patterns featured in this design.
