Techniques Used

This pullover employs a bottom-up, seamed, worked-flat construction method, which is a traditional approach to sweater knitting. The front and back panels are knitted separately back and forth on straight needles before being seamed together at the shoulders. After the shoulder seams are completed, sleeves are picked up from the armhole edges and worked downward to the cuff. This construction technique allows for precise shaping and is particularly suited to garments with stitch pattern details that benefit from working in rows rather than in the round.
