The cowl features a fitted neckline with an approximate 18½-inch circumference at the neck opening, expanding to 12¾ inches (or 14¼ inches in the larger size) in length at the center, and finishing with a generous 32 to 36¾-inch circumference at the bottom opening. This design creates a flattering draped effect suitable for layering over various outfits.

Construction Technique and Approach

The Triteia Cowl employs a top-down seamless construction method, which allows knitters to try on the piece as they work and adjust the fit as needed. The pattern begins with a Garter Tab cast-on, a popular technique for creating a clean, finished edge that naturally curves. From this small foundation, the piece is worked flat as a semi-circular shawl with strategically placed increase rows distributed evenly across the width. These increases allow the piece to expand gradually from the narrow neckline opening.
