I was searching for a non mohair fuzzy option so I was very happy to find the Prairie alpaca yarn from Blue Sky Fibers. It’s very soft, never prickly like mohair can be. I’m a bit sensitive to all yarns containing lanolin. Beautiful yarn in the color Heron that paired well with a natural medium grey DK local yarn. Excellent quality.,
Using this in the currently malabrigo KAL shawl, it’s okay not sure if I’d use it again.
Soft and fluffy without the “itch factor” of mohair. Easy to knit with.
