Product Description
Pretty lattice-stitch hat with a hemmed band. The stitch patterns are my own dutch-style versions of the classic broderie anglaise (English embroidery) stitch, and use the same techniques along with some new moves.
Hat is worked to a beanie length, but could also be made shorter as a cap.
Construction: Hat is worked seamlessly in the round from bottom to top. The stockinette hem, which begins with a provisional cast on, is joined (3-needle join) with the main hat after the band. The crown is shaped by decreases worked within the stitch pattern which form a beautiful seven-petal flower pattern at the very top.
Techniques used: Provisional cast on, 3-needle join for hem, knit-long and knit-below stitches.
