Brooklands Shawl

Worked in two directions this shawl creates a wide biased shape with wonderful long wings that are perfect for wrapping around the shoulders. This shawl could also work really well with two colours, alternating the lace and garter stripes.

• Stolen Stitches ‘Nua’ (60% Merino, 20% Yak, 20% Linen; 153 yds / 140 m per 1.76 oz / 50 g); colour: Hatter’s Teal Party (9803), 7 skeins. 

Approximate Yardage: 1070 yds / 980 m

Needles & Notions 

• US size 7 / 4.5 mm circ, 32” / 80 cm long. 

Always use a needle size that gives you the gauge listed, as every knitter’s gauge is unique. 

• Tapestry needle, stitch markers.

GAUGE 

• 17 sts and 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Lace Pattern blocked 
• 16 sts and 36 rows = 4” / 10 cm in Garter Stitch blocked
