Knitting Techniques

This intermediate-level knitting project employs several key techniques essential to creating the jumper's distinctive appearance. The construction begins with circular knitting for the body, utilizing both circular needles and straight needles depending on the section being worked. The garment is knitted in the round initially, then divided to shape the armholes and create separate front and back panels. Cable twisting is the primary decorative technique, with cables crossed at regular intervals throughout the pattern to create the textured cable design.

The armhole shaping is achieved through strategic cast-off techniques, removing stitches at the beginning of rows to create angled decreases. Stitches and Pattern Details
