    This yarn is 100% wool and is very soft. It has 175 yards per skein and there were no knots in the 4 skeins I purchased. If using a ball winder, you can only place half a skein on it as it is too much yarn for one ball. I have never purchased such a bulky yarn as Boliviana and winding it was the most challenging and time consuming part of using this yarn.
