The yarn is very soft and beautifully colored. I got peony and wine, and I am making baby hats with them. However, the yarn was really hard to unravel and got very easily tangled due to its skein shape. Other buyers should learn how to properly unravel it via YouTube before just pulling the yarn end and knotting up a skein like I did.
This yarn is a silky cotton yarn which softens up after washing. I am knitting up a baby blanket and after washing my gauge swatch, I was impressed that it didn’t shrink much, if at all, but softened up even more. It did lose a bit of the sheen, but it is still a little shiny.
It's a beautiful yarn to work with. Knits up very nicely. It feels nice, not like alot of other cottons do. Slides well on the needles, but isn't so slippery that it pulls off prematurely. Gauges well. Everything I could ask for from a Cascade yarn.
I bought this yarn based on a friend's recommendation. I'm using it for knitted knockers. It's great.
Cascade Ultra Pima is by far my favorite yarn. The colors are fantastic! It is soft and creates beautiful blankets and Amigurumi. Ultra Pima washes well.
I'm using it for a baby blanket for a special little girl. My fingers absolutely love the feel of this yarn! It's my second one, just a different color. I washed the first one before I gave it away and it came out perfectly. Now it's up to the parents! I always pin the label with washing directions to the blanket. By the way, she's my Sugar Britches doll and not a live little one! The blanket isn't for the doll. It was just staging!
Very nice yarn to work with, both for knitting and crocheting. Wonderful range of colors.
Cascade Ultra Pima makes them best Knitted Knockers
I really like the feel and weight of the Pima cotton yarn after I have made knitted or crocheted it into a baby blanket. Within the past 16 years, I have made about 8 baby blankets using this particular Cascade yarn. My first baby blanket was for my grandson 16 years ago. His mom said if he was fretful, she could wrap him in the blanket and the weight of it was enough to calm him. She loved it!
