Forecast Knitting Pattern Collection by Classic Elite Yarns

The Forecast collection from Classic Elite Yarns is a downloadable PDF knitting pattern featuring six distinct designs showcasing various garments and accessories. This collection demonstrates versatile knitting techniques across multiple skill levels, utilizing premium yarns from the Classic Elite Yarns line.

Wavelength Crescent Shawl

Designed by Rachel Henry, Wavelength is an intermediate-level crescent shawl that combines multiple knitting techniques for visual interest and elegant drape. The shawl features a distinctive construction with a center wedge of lace flanked by garter stitch wings, finished with a lower lace border. This design approach creates a balanced garment suitable for both warm and cool weather wear.

Available in two yarn options:

  • Alpaca Sox version: Approximately 62 inches wide and 16 inches high, worked on US size 4 (3.5 mm) knitting needles with a gauge of 21 stitches and 40 rows over 4 inches in garter stitch when blocked. Requires 2 hanks of Alpaca Sox in colorway 1840 Dark Honey.
  • Bella Lino version: Approximately 70 inches wide and 20 inches high, worked on US size 6 (4 mm) knitting needles with a gauge of 18 stitches and 36 rows over 4 inches in garter stitch when blocked.

Materials: Alpaca Sox yarn (60% alpaca, 20% merino, 20% nylon; 100 grams equals 450 yards) or Bella Lino yarn. Stitch markers are required for pattern work.

Stratosphere in Seedling

Stratosphere is included in the Forecast collection and is worked in Seedling yarn, representing another design option within this versatile pattern set.

Ozone in Classic Silk

Ozone showcases the use of Classic Silk yarn, demonstrating how luxury fiber content creates refined knitted garments within the Forecast collection.

Jet Stream in Provence

Jet Stream is designed using Provence yarn, offering another colorway and fiber option for knitters working through the Forecast pattern collection.

Fahrenheit in Soft Linen

Fahrenheit features Soft Linen yarn, providing a breathable option suitable for warm-weather knitting projects. This design demonstrates how linen fiber performs in structured knit garments.

Atmospheric Tee in Cerro and Canyon

The Atmospheric Tee is a garment design worked using two colorways: Cerro and Canyon. This pattern showcases how color combination and yarn choice create visual interest in fitted knit tops.

Atmospheric Bag in Cerro and Canyon

The Atmospheric Bag completes the collection as an accessory design, also utilizing Cerro and Canyon colorways. This project demonstrates how the same yarn colors can be applied to structured bag construction using knitting techniques.

Pattern Support: The Forecast PDF includes an abbreviations and glossary section to support knitters of varying experience levels in understanding pattern instructions and stitch terminology.
