Classic Elite Yarns Escape Knitting Pattern Collection

The Classic Elite Yarns Escape collection is a downloadable PDF featuring six distinct knitting designs created for experienced knitters. This comprehensive pattern resource showcases versatile garments and accessories that highlight the unique properties of Escape yarn by Classic Elite Yarns.

About Escape Yarn

Escape by Classic Elite Yarns is a premium blend fiber composed of 75% fine merino, 15% yak, and 10% mulberry silk. Each 50-gram ball yields approximately 130 yards of yarn, making it suitable for a range of knitting projects. The fiber combination creates a yarn with excellent drape, softness, and subtle sheen characteristics ideal for both garments and accessories.

Ryer Design by Susan Mills

Ryer is an experienced-level knitting project worked end to end, featuring reversible leafy eyelet stitch as the primary design element. The pattern incorporates zig zag eyelet edges that are worked continuously along the sides as you knit, creating a finished, decorative border without additional finishing steps.

  • Construction Method: End-to-end knitting with integrated edge details
  • Stitches Used: Leafy eyelet stitch (reversible), zig zag eyelet edges
  • Customization: Easily adjustable to any desired length; available in scarf width (10½") or wrap width (19½")
  • Finished Measurements: Scarf measures approximately 10½ inches wide by 67 inches long; wrap version measures 19½ inches wide by 67 inches long
  • Gauge: 32 stitches and 48 rows (measured over two 16-stitch and two 24-row pattern repeats) measure 5¾ inches wide and 7 inches high
  • Tools Required: US Size 5 (3.75 mm) knitting needles or size needed to obtain correct gauge; stitch markers
  • Yarn Requirements: 4 balls for scarf version, 8 balls for wrap version of Escape yarn
  • Colorways Featured: Scarf shown in colorway 2657 Aero; wrap shown in colorway 2616 Natural

Pattern Features

The Escape collection demonstrates advanced knitting techniques suitable for experienced crafters. The reversible leafy eyelet stitch creates visual interest on both sides of the fabric, while the integrated zig zag eyelet edges eliminate the need for separate edge treatments or finishing. The end-to-end construction method allows knitters to easily adjust the final length of either the scarf or wrap version to their personal preference, providing flexibility in the finished garment dimensions.

Additional Designs in Collection

The Escape PDF includes five additional knitting patterns beyond Ryer: Harper, Pettigrew, Ingram, Marston, and Rigby. Each design showcases different techniques and stitch patterns within the collection, with an abbreviations and glossary section provided for reference throughout all patterns.

The collection is available as a downloadable PDF from Classic Elite Yarns, making it convenient for digital access and printing at home.
