Cocoknits Opening Stitch Markers

$9.00 Each

These opening stitch markers are in muted colors and help you mark rounds, increases, decreases, and stitch patterns. These steel markers attach to your Knitter's Keep or any magnet so that you can easily store and retrieve them. Stitch markers accommodate up to US 11 needle. Included are 10 each of 6 muted colors.

Please note that the opening stitch markers are painted, not nylon coated, in order to keep them delicate and to prevent them from leaving ladders in your knitting. With extended use the paint may begin to wear off giving them a rustic look, but enough paint should remain on the marker to distinguish each of the colors

Scads and scads of pretty little stitch markers

Comments about Knitting > Accessories Opening Stitch Markers:

Because these stitch markers are really pins, they can be added at any time in the knitting process. Cute little devils. And lots of them.

eh...

Comments about Knitting > Accessories Opening Stitch Markers:

The heavy duty cardboard "tube" container is very cute in a minimalist sort of way, but the lid doesn't fit tightly. It has opened in my knitting bag on several occasions so now it is in a plastic zip snack sized baggie.

I purchased these markers about two years ago at full price in a LYS in Berkeley, CA while traveling without a knitting project. Since that time, I've used less than a dozen of the markers on two small projects (scarves/hats). Nearly all of markers I have used have lost most of all of the colored paint coating already. I have no idea where the paint goes when it flakes off, but at least it does not show up on the yarn.

I'll still continue to use these pins for markers because I like the very slim shape (compared to plastic stitch markers) and the ability to add and remove as needed, but I wouldn't buy them at full price again. One of these days I'll probably transfer them to a different container (such as an emptied metal green tea mint tin with a clear window from Trader Joe's).

Comments about Knitting > Accessories Opening Stitch Markers:

I love the colors of this set, and the cute little box they come in. Its convenient that they open, but the leg that opens is quite sharp. If you dont pay close attention, its very easy to split the yarn with these when using them to crochet. Also, they can be hard to open the first time or two. If you just knit, they're great. I like other brands of opening stitch markers better.

These don't break in half or open when they are not suppose to.
Easily removed. Beautiful little storage box.

Comments about Knitting > Accessories Opening Stitch Markers:

These are nice. I've decided to retire my plastic opening stitch markers and use only these. Very easy to see unless you happen to be knitting with a bright multi colored yarn of the same hues.

Comments about Knitting > Accessories Opening Stitch Markers:

I love Cocoknits stitch markers! I have the large round and have used them heavily for months. Absolutely no chipping. Fantastic quality. I don't know if the other review got a bad batch or what, but I highly recommend all of the items. The slap bracelet with magnet is a great help and the row counter is great. Can you tell how much I love this product!!!

    Poor quality

    By Lin

    from Indiana

Comments about Knitting > Accessories Opening Stitch Markers:

After a short time of using in a project, the paint started chipping off the pins. Very unhappy with the quality of this product. I also purchased the round stitch markers and they do the same!
