I have used wooden sock needles in the past, but I find I enjoy the firmness of the metal needles. I get consistent guage and a nice fabric with these.

I'm surprised at how much I like these needles. I didn't think I would because they are longer than what I usually use (I prefer 5""). I would buy more of this brand.

I can't wait to use this to make socks I was recommended them by my knitting teacher and I just cannot wait to use them!!

I'm a sock knitter and my favorite needles are these - smooth, no joins for end caps, just the right amount of stickiness/slipperiness for sock yarns and they retain their shape (I tend to bend bamboo or wooden ones). I love them.

These are great. Pointy enough to do cables without a cable needle, not so pointy as to make my index finger sore (which I manage to poke about every 5th stitch as I knit continental and tend not to look at my knitting for simple stitches). The price is great, especially for travel, because it's not a tragedy if I lose one. Sturdy but lightweight. Give them a try.

Nice length, smooth and perfect for baby wear

I really enjoy working with these. They are strong but light, they are long enough to hold the stitches securely without danger of them falling off. They feel good (smooth, light) in my hands. Considering the fact I used to actively dislike DPNs, I am very much a fan of these.

perfect strength for fiddly top of hat decreases.
