The vest is worked in one piece from the bottom to underarm, then split into the back & two fronts. There are two different ways to wear this versatile piece. The center front straps can be worn crossed in front or not crossed.

To clarify the right front armhole strap instructions,
- For size 38: work rows 1-16, repeat rows 5-16, then rows 1-2. 18 sts are decreased, 20 st remain
- For size 42: work rows 1-16, repeat rows 5-16, then rows 1-4. 20 sts are decreased, 22 st remain
- For size 46: work rows 1-16, repeat rows 5-16, then rows 1-10. 24 sts are decreased, 24 st remain
- For size 52: work rows 1-16, repeat rows 5-16, then rows 1-12. 26 sts are decreased, 26 st remain
