The baby blanket I made turned out beautiful but the yarn was very hard to knit. It was just strings that barely stayed together. I’m an experienced knitter but had to be extremely careful to not split the yarn. I bought this yarn because it is organic and that is great. I just can’t recommend this yarn due to the structure.
The yarn was nice to work with but the color did not match what I saw online. It looked like a very pale green, was darker in real life. That is one of the reasons I don’t like to shop online, the colors do not photograph true.
This yarn is easy to knit with and soft, however unless you are making a cabled sweater, there is very little structure in the finished product. The yarn also goes a long way.
This is not the same yarn I worked with in the past when the label said Debbie Bliss Echo Baby. While the colors were still beautiful, the yarn split like crazy while knitting. I was doing a simple sweater in the round and had to check after every round for split threads. Absolutely hated working with it! Don’t buy.
Yarn seems soft and easy to work with.
For the price and colors, this is my favorite organic cotton yarn! Love it and order it often!
I love the feeling of this yarn! it's soft, but also very sturdy! I made myself a little produce bag with it, and it was the perfect material!
love this yarn …..perfect for infant blankets….I use a size 5 needle, then machine wash and dry so it shrinks a little….the yarn ""blooms"" and is so soft and so easy for moms to care for.
I haven't started my project yet but I love the feel of this yarn.
I am half way through a baby sweater with this yarn, and I am almost ready to give up on it. I have never worked with a yarn that splits this easily. It is a bear to work with. Beginners should avoid this yarn. It is fine on the plain stockinette sections, but when it comes to the fancy stitches it is a nightmare. You can forget about ripping it out and reusing the yarn, since it just falls apart in your hands. I am not a big fan of working with cotton yarns, but I have worked with others that are not nearly this splitty. Also, the colors are a little dull. I am using the pale pink color, and it just looks dirty. Maybe it is the light. I have switched to another project and will come come back to finish it later, maybe.
