Project Overview

The finished bag measures 30cm in length, 12cm in width, and 15cm in height, making it appropriately sized for carrying bowling shoes and accessories.

What Is Being Made

This project creates a complete bowling bag featuring a front flap closure, integrated buttonhole details, and a zippered opening. The bag is constructed using knitted fabric panels that are sewn together and finished with hardware including a 30cm closed-end zip and four decorative 1.5cm buttons. The design combines both aesthetic appeal and practical storage functionality.

Yarn and Materials

The bag is knitted using Deramores Studio DK yarn in three coordinating colorways:

• Yarn A: Paprika (1 x 100g)
• Yarn B: Butterscotch (1 x 100g)
• Yarn C: Gingerbread (1 x 100g)

The warm, earthy color combination of paprika, butterscotch, and gingerbread creates a cohesive and visually interesting finished piece. One pair of 4mm straight knitting needles is required for construction. Additional materials include a tapestry needle for seaming, pins or stitch markers for tracking pattern placement, and the aforementioned zip and buttons for finishing.

Primary Stitch Patterns:

Shaping and Construction Techniques:
