Craft and Techniques

This project uses knitting as the primary craft technique. The pattern employs fundamental knitting methods including the long tail cast on for creating the initial stitches, mattress stitch for seaming pieces together, and working in the round using a circular needle to accommodate the large number of stitches required for the tail feathers. The design involves knitting flat in rows on straight needles for the body and beak components, then transitioning to circular needles to manage the expanded stitch count for the distinctive peacock tail.
