Dexter the Dog

Dexter the Dog is a cuddly little puppy, and ready for a winter walk in their Christmas jumper and backpack. Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the dog and outfits are knitted on single pointed needles (not in the round). The pattern includes instructions for knitting the dog, sweater, trousers, hat and backpack, and the outfits are removable to play dress up. Each is worked in acrylic DK yarns (double knitting/light worsted). The sweater incorporates a stranded colour-work pattern. For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, knitting stripes, and seaming to finish.
