Drop of a Hat

One of the quickest, most satisfying cabled toques you can work—it’s all stockinette except for a bold, awesome cable that only requires a total of 5 cables in the whole hat (1 every 10th round).

And if you're feeling a little badass, you get to deliberately drop a few of the stitches to reveal a ladder that twists in and out of it! It's an optional drop, however, and you absolutely don't have to drop any stitch--the cable looks great and dramatic even without the dropping.
