I made the Tucked Pullover sweater designed by Quenna Lee and published in Knit Wear (fall/winter2013) with Coffee Bean Brown Silky Wool. It was really fun to work with and I absolutely love my finished sweater. It's lightweight but nice and warm and it layers well over blouses and tops. I was afraid I didn't have enough yarn to make the sleeves as long as I wanted, but found it easy to stretch them out during blocking. I was so impressed that I bought more in two different colors to make more sweaters. Can't wait to get started on them.

I purchased a ball of this at my LYS to swatch before ordering. Glad I did. It's classified as a DK, and it looks like about a DK -- until you knit it up. It's very lightweight, with a loose twist, so it knits up more as a fingering. This yarn would be ideal for a floaty, lacy scarf, but I wouldn't recommend it for a cozy sweater. That said, it's pretty, has a good hand, and the texture is just the teeniest bit pebbly. It knits up very evenly.

Comments about ELSEBETH LAVOLD Silky Wool:

I had ordered this yarn and after starting on project, I realized I was going to need more. I first called to see exactly what I needed to do to make sure I got the same dye lot. Customer service was very helpful with instructions. Went online ordered and put needed dye lit in special instructions. Received just what I needed in a couple of days and invoice had a check mark and smiley face next to instructions.

I have used this yarn before for a shawl and this is my second time using it for another shawl. The shawl has a lovely drape and texture. The colors are beautiful and elegant. Will I buy this a third time? You bet!

Comments about ELSEBETH LAVOLD Silky Wool:

Yarn arrived safely and quickly! The Boysenberries color was more "electric pink" than I was anticipating, but I will deal.
