Need to know how many yards of yarn you have? Let the Yarn to Yards Balance help. Place a length of yarn over the hook and keep snipping until the arm balances, then measure the length of the yarn and multiply the length in inches by 100 to get very close approximate yardage per pound of the yarn. The balance has directions attached right to it, so you'll never lose them. Also attached is a handy chart of typical yarn types and their yardage per pound.
