Comments about N/A Fix-A-Stitch:

I recently received the Fix-A-Stitch set of 3 hooks. I debated whether to order them or not because of the high price. The quality is sub-par. I found burrs on the shafts of 2 out of the 3 that would definitely cause snags when using. Also the hook heads had very rough patches on them, that when run across a skein of yarn, caused snags. I contacted the web site for Stitch-A-Fix to complain about the quality. Bonnie Kellogg herself replied to me and told me to just use a sharp tool, ie. an exacto knife, to cut the burrs off the shafts. She said that's what her husband does when they run across the same problem. I guess I'm also supposed to file down the rough patches on the other areas of the hooks to smooth everything out so they are usable. Really!!? For the price I should not have to fix their quality control problems. The item should have been in perfect condition to start. I asked if she would send me a new set that was smooth, and she said she couldn't guarantee that the set she would send would be any better and I would have to send to her the set I currently have. So she knows there is a quality problem but hasn't done anything about it. What great customer service.

      Comments about N/A Fix-A-Stitch:

I bought this because I was about to embark on a garter stitch afghan. Past experience -- 50 years of knitting -- told me that occasionally I would screw up and need to drop back to fix the error. That is a huge pain in garter stitch. This tool makes it much easier.

        Comments about N/A Fix-A-Stitch:

A great idea, but execution was not great. The hooks are too flat and that makes catching yarn loops difficult. Plus, there were snags on the hooks, not well finished.
