Show off some cable prowess with this hat and cowl set. One size fits most, and both pieces are perfect for anyone on your gift list. The worsted weight yarn means the knitting will go quickly. The crown shaping of the hat is worked in the pattern.
One skein of yarn should make both pieces, though if you plan on making both the hat and cowl and are not sure if you'll have enough yarn, knit the hat first. Then when you're knitting the cowl, work until you have about 15 yds (14 m) of yarn left, even if you haven't finished the charted pattern, work 5 rounds of ribbing before binding off.
Both hat and cowl are about 18" (45.5 cm) circumference. The hat is 8 1/4" (21 cm) long, and the cowl is 7 1/2" (19 cm) long.
