Product Description
Goldtau is a pleasing union of functionality and elegance. A simple mesh pattern is layered over an even simpler and comfortable garter base – mixing practicality with a little superficial flair.
Construction Goldtau is knitted in the round and bottom up in two continuous sections. Garter stitch makes for a squishy and comforting cowl that is wider at the base. A lacy mesh layer folds outwards to contrast nicely against a dark or light background.
The knitting begins with the simplest cast on ever, the Winding Provisional Cast On that is stretchily bound off immediately. If you prefer you can use a conventional cast on just as long as has some give.
The garter rounds are actually worked back and forth with the help of a German short row turn; this allows for the entire base layer to be plainly knitted (but can be worked in normal garter rounds).
